Sharing Warmth
Members of Key Club took part in activities to share some holiday warmth with others. Members did "blanket making" and gave the blankets to the Helen Devos Children's Hospital. They also met with Mr. Rick Martin to give him fleece blankets that will be donated to Lakeland Hospital in honor of the Eva Martin Project.

If so, come out and support the Class of 2026. Hoopla and Moe’s are supporting the Class of 2026 on Tuesday, November 21. On that evening, visit Moe’s for dinner, Hoolpa for dessert, and have an easy and tasty dinner the evening before the craziness begins. All you have to do is show up and mention the giveback event when you are at the register.

Lakeshore Public Schools is proud to offer Community Walking Hours at Kohn Fieldhouse November 13, 2023 to March 27, 2023, Monday - Wednesday - Friday (when school is in session) from 11:30am - 2:00pm. Applications for the 2024/2025 Lakeshore High School Math and Science Center freshman class will be available at the middle school for LMS students on January 12th. Non LMS students who plan to attend Lakeshore High School next fall may request an application from the Lakeshore School District central office. Current 8th graders who are interested in applying for a space in the math and science center need to be currently enrolled in Algebra 1 and must take the December SAT in order to be considered. The SAT will be offered at Lakeshore High School on December 2nd. Students can register online at collegeboard.com. For questions regarding the LHS Math and Science Center application process, please contact Krista Elkins at kelkins@lpslancer.net.

After-Prom is an event open to ALL Lakeshore Junior and Senior students and will be held on May 4, 2024. We are asking parents to lend a hand by participating in the Hassle Free Fundraiser for After-Prom. Please check your email for ways to contribute. You can also join for the After-Prom meeting on Tuesday 24th at 6:30 in the LHS cafeteria.

Key Club is sponsoring this year's Homecoming Dance on Saturday, September 23rd, from 8 pm to 11 pm. Here are the details. The dance will be at the Kohn Fieldhouse. Guest passes are available for students to bring a guest and all guests need to be in high school or graduated but under the age of 21. Tickets are $10 per person and will start being sold at lunch next week.bbAttire is semi-formal, so come looking nice! There will be food, dancing, games, and prizes. Lakeshore High School Band performs at Festival at Andrew's University!
(3/3/2023) Lakeshore will be dismissing the MS and HS 15 minutes early today. There will be no change to the elementary schedule. With the weather coming in, this will allow buses to complete their secondary run and be on time for their elementary runs.

"My son had the pleasure of having Mrs. Whitelaw as his y5's teacher for the 2021-22 school year. Over the course of the school year our son grew as a learner, a friend, a leader and person because of Mrs. Whitelaw's dedication and partnership with our family. Her dedication continued on throughout the summer where she planned two outings for the class to get together and reconnect. This is a true representation of commitment, dedication and what it means to be a teacher. When we drove away from the last outing my son said, "Mrs. Whitelaw sure loves me!" My reply, "She sure does, Buddy, she loves all of you!" Hats off to Mrs. Whitelaw, you are beyond appreciated!"
